Small Group Hiking Tour From Jiankou Great Wall To Mutianyu

At 7:30AM, your Beijing English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your central located Beijing’s hotel, then drive around 1.5 hours and reach at Xishanzi Village in Huairou County. After walking through the village for about 1.5 hours, you will approach the North Tower of the Jiangkou Great Wall, whichl is about 85 kilometers from Beijing's city center. The mountainous terrain is very varied, and the Great Wall on top of the dangerous peaks and cliffs looks even more majestic and dangerous, and it is named after the "W" shape of the entire section of the Great Wall, which is shaped like a bow and arrow. Jiankou Great Wall is one of the most famous dangerous sections of the Great Wall. Climb up to the tower and look to the west for a great view of the Jiangkou section. Looking east, you'll see the stunning tip of the niujiaobian. Another 45-minute hike will bring you to the tip of the niujiaobian. This section of the Wall is steep and treacherous, with small rocks falling from time to time. You should bypass this section of the wall and take the path that will take you back up to the wall in 12 minutes. On the way, you can have a rest.

After 40 minutes of further hiking, you will reach Tower 23 at Mutianyu, which is the starting point of the renovated Great Wall. At the end there is a slide from which you will continue your hike for another 2 hours. At the end of the hike, you will experience interesting Jade culture at Jade museumn near the Great Wall at Mutianyu, ending with a Chinese tea ceremony at a teahouse before returning to your hotel.
