Day 1: Arrive in Siem Reap and visit the Phare CircusYour adventure starts with a meet and greet with your guide and driver at the airport, followed by a transfer straight to your accommodation for a few hours of rest.
In the evening, head out to have a Khmer dinner at the famous HAVEN restaurant, with its unique setting and beautiful garden. Then, go see a Phare Circus performance that combines local traditions with innovation and creativity.
Day 2: Visit Ta Prohm and Banteay SreiStarting in the morning, travel by jeep to Ta Prohm, pausing to collect your entry pass at the archaeological park entrance. Ta Prohm’s crumbling towers and root-embraced walls make it one of the most picturesque and atmospheric ruins in the Angkor complex.
After exploring this iconic temple, have lunch at Srah Srang, then visit Banteay Srei. This red sandstone temple is one of Angkor’s most significant structures. Its walls are decorated with elaborate carvings which have been preserved remarkably well.
Day 3: Angkor Sunrise and Angkor Thom SunsetRising at the crack of dawn, take a deep breath and get ready to experience the once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the most beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat. Enjoy the views and learn how the rising sun brings the temples to life.
Then, head down to explore the ancient temple at its most atmospheric, bathed in the warm glow of the morning sun. After exploring Angkor Wat, you’ll return to your accommodation and have time to rest before exploring the walled city of Angkor Thom.
From Angkor Thom, continue to Bayon Temple. Located at the center of the city, see why this temple is also known as the “Giant Face Temple.” Your guide will point out the most interesting of the detailed bas reliefs illustrating everyday life in the Angkorian era.
The tour concludes at the vast moat of Angkor Thom complex, where you’ll get to take a peaceful sunset cruise on a rowboat while enjoying canapés (hors d'oeuvre) and drinks.
Day 4: Tour to Rouluos Temples and the Floating VillagePrepare to travel back in time to one of the earliest capitals in the Angkor area, Hariharalaya, now known as the Rouluos Group. Then, head to Kampong Pluk.
Hop aboard a private boat to visit a floating village built entirely on stilts in the Tonle Sap, the lake at Cambodia’s center. See the little school, Buddhist temple, and shops before puttering off to a nearby floating fishing village.
Day 5: Depart Siem ReapOn the final day of the tour, start with a filling breakfast before checkout time at the hotel. A jeep will be waiting to take you to the airport in Siem Reap. If planning to stay in Angkor longer, your guide will recommend some activities to do in the area.
