Take a half-day tour by luxury air-conditioned vehicle and motorized boat. Float alongside homes, shops, and schools and also take a rowing boat ride around the flooded forest as an option.
Begin your journey with a hotel pick-up or head to the meeting point to join your tour group. You will travel in a shared air-conditioned mini-bus with a tour guide, or opt for a private vehicle with the option of a guide, depending on your chosen package.
Kompong Phluk is located 30 kilometers south-east of Siem Reap. Your tour will start with a visit to the pagoda or local market, followed by a motorized boat tour of the stilted buildings. Witness how the locals have adapted to challenging conditions with resilience and a smile. Experience the unique atmosphere of this village from the comfort of the boats.
If you have a guide, they will provide insights into the history, culture, and lifestyle of the villagers. The villages are surrounded by a mangrove forest. You can also take an optional side-trip to the flooded forest on a rowing boat, available from October to January. The motorboat will make a stop at a small floating cafe, offering a perfect vantage point to watch the sunset.
