1. Banteay Srei temple or pink lady temple: Admire the ancient temple carvings at Banteay Srei Temple. This temple is older than Angkor Wat and renowned for having some of the best temple carvings in Cambodia and the world. This temple contains the finest, most intricate carvings to be found in Angkor.

2. Kbal Spean is described as "a spectacularly carved riverbed, set deep in the jungle to the northeast of Angkor".[4] The river over which the bridge head exists is also known as Stung Kbal Spean, a tributary of the Siem Reap River that rises in the Kulein mountains north of Banteay Srei. The river bed cuts through sandstone formations, and the many architectural sculptures of Hindu mythology have been carved within the sandstone.

3. Cambodia remains one of the most heavily mined countries in the world as a result of decades of conflict, including a civil war, the brutal Khmer Rouge regime and genocide, American bombings, and Vietnamese occupation.

Dozens of civilians are still injured or killed every year by landmines and other unexploded ordnance that have been left over from all the fighting. Landmines and UXOs are found in backyards, in the rice fields where people work, and on the roads where children walk to school. Millions of the country’s landmines have now been cleared, but there is still a lot of work to be done; it is estimated Cambodia will not be entirely free of landmines for several decades to come.
