Royal Palace - Inside ,National Museum - Wat Phnom Lady Penh Monument and Silk Island
Family Friendly Tour around Phnom Penh City seeing significant sites and learning about the history of Cambodia before setting off to nearby Silk Island to spend some time in rural countryside and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This tour does not include any genocide sites, so is ideal for families and those who prefer a day that does not involve 'black tourism.'
1. After morning pick-up, the first stop will be the Royal Palace where you can visit inside and admire the beautiful architecture and take advantage of the photographic opportunities that the Royal Palace offers. Entry fee: $10 plus another $10 for a guide. There is no audio guide available.
2 Admire one of the most beautiful examples of Cambodian architecture of the National Museum. This building also offers beautiful photo opportunities.
3 Wat Phnom and Lady Penh Monument is the final stop before lunch. Learn who Phnom Penh is named after and why. Temple Entry: $1.
4Enjoy lunch (not included in cost of tour) before heading off to the Silk Island
9. Crossing the Mighty Mekong River by Ferry, arrive at Koh Dach, more commonly known as Silk Island. Here you can see and learn about the full cycle of silk cloth making, after which we can traverse in and around the island enjoying some time in a more rural setting away from the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh city. Entry into Silk Farm: $2 ea, children under 10 years are free.
10. Returning to Phnom Penh city, again via the ferry, be dropped back at your hotel at the end of the day.

This tour will take place rain or shine, not problems. The umbrellas are provided if it is raining in order to visit some sites that are outdoors.
There is some walking, particularly on Silk Island, but not excessive distances.
Up to 2 CHILDREN 6 OR UNDER can participate at NO COST. Please let me know if there will be extra children accompanying you on the tour in order that they can be accommodated with transport.
