Explore the world's largest salt desert and be captivated by its surreal landscapes through southwestern Bolivia in the comfort of an SUV, experiencing this breathtaking destination in style.
We start with pick-up service from hotels, hostels, from central area (around Plaza San Francisco). Tiwanaku is located approximately two hours away from La Paz.
We begin with a visit to the Tiwanaku Museum, showcasing the cultural legacy of the Tiwanaku Empire from 3000 B.C. to 1180 A.C. Following this, we explore the UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site, featuring the Semi-underground Temple of Kalasasaya, the iconic Puerta del Sol honoring Pachacutec, the Puerta de la Luna dedicated to the moon goddess Killa, the imposing Akapana Pyramid, and notable monoliths such as Bennett, Fraile, and Ponce. After the site visit, we’ll enjoy lunch in the main town before returning to La Paz.

Please note that the itinerary may change without prior notice due to seasonal floods. Additionally, at checkout, you can add a transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, on the third day of the tour (upon request). Those who choose this transfer will depart directly from Hito Cajones in Bolivia and will not visit San Cristobal and return to Uyuni.
Pickup is available from your accommodation in Uyuni and from the bus or train station if you are arriving on the day of the tour.
If your bus/train arrives earlier, we will pick you up and you can wait in our office until the start of the tour.
If you are already in Uyuni, pickup will be between 10:30 - 10:45 AM. Please wait in the lobby of your accommodation.
