From La Paz | Salar Salt Flat | Round Trip

Discover the Salar de Uyuni and its surroundings on a 2-night, 1-day guided tour that includes meals. Travel between La Paz and Uyuni on 2 comfortable overnight buses.
Day 1 Head to the Bus Office at 8:30pm for check-in, then the bus from La Paz to Uyuni departs at 9:00pm. Inside the bus, enjoy Dinner (Meat and Vegetarian Option), Breakfast, a Bottle of Water, a Hot Drink, Heating, Toilets, a Fleece Blanket, Wi-Fi, and a First Aid Kit.

Day 2 Arrive in Uyuni town at 7:30am Free time to buy snacks, water, and other things for your trip. (we have free time, because all businesses and tourist spots are available from 10:30am) Then head to our office, 1 block from the bus station. Start your tour at 10:30am with a trip to the Salar de Uyuni. The first stop is the eerie “Train Cemetery,” which is located on the outskirts of Uyuni. Then visit the small settlement of Colchani (salt miners' workshops next to the salt flat), there you will also find crafts made from salt, and textile art made from llama and alpaca wool. These are great souvenirs to take home. Take photos as you sail across the vast white expanse of salt, wade through the "Ojos de Agua Salada", visit also: a hotel made entirely of salt that is currently used as a museum-restaurant, Flags of the World (where you can bring your own and put it there for free) and a Monument of the Dakar race. After a morning of exploring, lunch will be served on the way, after that, you will have time to hike to the top of Incahuasi Island to see giant cacti and rock formations made of petrified coral. Important: Due to the rainy season (January to March), it is not possible to access Incahuasi Island. Next, take your time to organize your group to take fun photos distorting perspective and proportion, on the blinding white surface of the salt flat, playing with the scene is sure to make fun and memorable photos! Finally, head to a spacious area to live the unique experience of watching a beautiful sunset over the salt flat, spreading its dazzling colors throughout the Salar de Uyuni, and enjoy it with a glass of wine. Return from your tour to our office in Uyuni between 19:15 and 19:45. Afterwards, make your way to the Bus Office on your own at 20:30. Bus departure from Uyuni to La Paz at 21:00.

Day 3 Arrive in La Paz city between 6:15 and 6:35. End point of the tour: Main Bus Station in La Paz city. DURATION OF THE TOUR 2 Nights and 1 Day
