2 Days Shamakhi, Lahij, Gabala, and Sheki Tour

Experience 2 day trip in nature and visit Azerbaijan’s oldest cities and its newest resort town. Travel into the Azerbaijan mountains from Baku that explores Shamakhi, Ismayilli, and Qabala
1st Day Tour:
After the meeting in defined meeting point or hotel, we start the tour to Diri Baba Mausoleum located between Baku and Shamakhi. We reach there in 1 hour and half.

While reaching the Mauseloum, guide will explain about the history of this place by walking around and inside. There are many legends about Diri Baba and with its ancient mysteries, this landmark attracts many curious visitors.

From Diri Baba Mausoleum to the Juma Mosque is 30 minutes distance by car.
Shamakhi Juma Mosque, one of the oldest Muslim temples in Azerbaijan, as well as in the South Caucasus and the Middle East and first Mosque in Azerbaijan was built in 743.
While entering inside the Mosque, you need to remove your shoes, but walking barefoot is not a problem, because the floor is covered with thick carpets.

Tour continues to Ismayilli region and next point is Lahij village situated in İsmayilli region.
Ismayilli region stands out for its unique nature. The village of Lahij is known far beyond the borders of the republic thanks to its copper craftsmen.
Guests will spent about 1 hour and half or more here with the guide explanation, see the live handicraft working process and more.

After completing the tour, heading to Gabala, that takes about 1 hour by car.
Our next stop will be the Nohur lake (Nohurgol) is located in a few kilometres southeast of Qabala is one of Azerbaijan’s most beautiful spots, 700 m above sea level. You will be amazed by the fresh air and water is one of the most picturesque places of Gabala.

The final sightseeing destination of the 1st day will be in Tufandag Summer-Winter Touristic , “Tufandaq” Winter-Summer Tourism Complex that offers you to contemplate the whole view, which rises above 1920 m and shows the landscape in full view that you can see all of the panorama of Gabala at any time of the year.
Tour ends here and drop off the guests to the hotel in Gabala or Sheki.

2nd Day Tour:
Next day complete the checkout from the hotel and heading to Sheki , 60 minutes road trip away from Gabala.
The main attractive sight of the city is Sheki Khan Palace a world-famous historical and architectural monument inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tour continues to Caravansarai of the XVIII century. This place will make you feel the authentic trade life of this period and take you to the atmosphere of Medieval Bazaar with merchants from all over the world.

The last point we visit in Sheki is the first Albanian church called Kish in the Caucasus, dating back to the 1st century AD. Kish Albanian Temple is located in Kish village, Sheki region, one of Azerbaijan’s oldest cities and cultural centers.
Total duration of the tour activities in Sheki is about 2 hours and half. Our road trip from Sheki to Baku with technical stops and car ride is 5 hours. Total duration of the 2nd day tour is 8 hours activities and return trip to Baku.
