Visit the inhabited castle
Berat is one of the oldest inhabited regions of Albania, more than 2400 years old, with special status from UNESCO. It is a beautiful museum town, and it is Albania's second museum town, sometimes called "the city of a thousand windows" due to its particular architectural style with houses with layers of windows almost on top of each other. You will visit the castle, several churches, and mosques. In the Mangelem neighborhood, we will visit the Leaden Mosque, the King's Mosque, the Bachelor's Mosque the Alveti Tekke, and the old Bridge of Gorica. The bridge spans the Osumi River over which you will explore the Gorica side of the town with spectacular views of Berat's Mangalem neighborhood and Castle.

Tour will take place rain or shine.
Pick-up is available from Tirana city center hotels. Please provide the hotel name and address. Alternatively, we can meet at a designated location (such as Skanderbeg Square) if this is easier for you.
Please be prepared 10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time. Look for a Dark Grey Mazda 2.
