Begin your adventure in Metropolitan Natural Park, a lush 265-hectare rainforest nestled within the city. It is one of the best spots to observe wildlife, including sloths and howler monkeys, which are frequently spotted in the trees. This park is an excellent place to get close to Panama’s diverse flora and fauna while being just minutes away from the urban center. Visitors can enjoy several trails, some leading to panoramic viewpoints of Panama City and the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, you can also spot tropical birds, including toucans and parrots, making it a great spot for birdwatching.

Next, visit the Former U.S. Canal Zone, which holds significant historical value. This area was under U.S. control for much of the 20th century and played a key role in the construction and operation of the Panama Canal.
