Drive from Tirana towards Shkoder. Visit imposing Rozafa Castle and admire breathtaking views 360-degree views over the valley, the Buna and Drin Rivers, as well as Shkoder's lake and surrounding mountains.
Take a walking tour in Gjuhadol, a newly renovated pedestrian area of Italian and Austrian architectural influences, testimony to this city’s historic links with both these countries. Then, visit the Marubi Museum (optional) which houses an exposition of old prints.
In Lezhe, see the mausoleum of Skanderbeg, the national hero of the Albanians, inside the church of Saint Nicholas. Proceed to Kruja, the center of Albanian resistance against the Ottomans.
Visit the Skanderbeg Museum and a rich Ethnographic Museum with almost all items being original from the end of the 19th century. Finally, make your way through Kruja’s famous Bazaar full of traditional handicrafts and souvenirs before returning to Tirana.
