Benefit from hotel pick-up or join the tour from a central meeting point. Journey out of Hobart via the Brooker Highway, passing North Hobart and New Town. Richmond is one of Australia's most unique and historic towns, dating from the 1820s. Cross the Richmond Bridge, the oldest convict built road bridge in Australia, and visit Richmond Gaol, operational since 1826.
Explore the village of Richmond to see convict-built homes, classic Georgian mansions and small cottages, many unique shops, galleries, and restaurants. Taste some Coal Valley region wines and local produce (at own expense), shop, or relax! Whatever you choose, there will be plenty of time to explore before the return journey to Hobart. Tour concludes with drop-off to Brooke Street Pier, in central Hobart.
