Start your day with a pickup from your hotel. Meet your driver in the lobby and head to the Old City of Baku. Admire the preservation walls that have remained since the 6th century. Learn about the history of the Old City and see the historical places, such as Karvansaray, the Maiden Tower, old labyrinth streets, mosques, and small souvenir shops.
Visit the Shirvanshah Palace, a museum that is among the monuments within the Old City. Enter the throne room, the shah’s burial place, the mosque, the tomb, and the shah’s bathroom.

Continue to the Maiden Tower, a 12th-century monument in the Old City, Baku. Along with the Shirvanshahs' Palace, it forms a group of historic monuments listed in 2001 under the UNESCO World Heritage List of Historical Monuments as cultural property, Category III.
Visit the museum in the Maiden Tower, which presents the story of the historic evolution of Baku city. It also has a gift shop. The view from the roof takes in the alleys and minarets of the Old City, the Baku Boulevard, the house of Isa bek Hajinski, and a wide vista of the Baku Bay.
Head to the Highland Park, the highest point of the capital of Azerbaijan. From here, enjoy a beautiful panorama of the city and the bay.
Visit the Alley of Martyrs, a cemetery and memorial in Baku dedicated to those killed by the Soviet Army during Black January 1990 and in the First Nagorno-Karabakh War of 1988–1994.
Finally, visit the Heydar Aliyev Center, a building complex in Baku designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid. Admire its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The center is named after Heydar Aliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan Republic from October 1993 to October 2003.
