Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara
Your adventure begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (approximately 6-7 hours). The journey takes you through beautiful landscapes, including terraced fields, rivers, and small villages. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into your hotel.
Day 2: Drive from Pokhara to Jomsom
After an early breakfast, start your journey toward Jomsom, the gateway to Upper Mustang. The drive takes you along the Kali Gandaki River, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The road becomes more rugged as you ascend, giving you a taste of the adventurous terrain ahead. Along the way, witness the changing landscapes, from lush green hills to arid, desert-like regions typical of Mustang.
Day 3: Explore Mustang and Return to Tatopani
After breakfast, embark on an exciting 4WD jeep tour through the Lower Mustang region. Day 4: Drive from Tatopani to Pokhara, then to Chitwan
After breakfast, depart from Tatopani and head back to Pokhara. The drive will be scenic, giving you a chance to revisit some of the views you enjoyed on the way up. Arrive in Pokhara. Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan National Park (approximately 4-5 hours). Upon arrival, check into your jungle lodge. Enjoy a traditional Tharu cultural dance program that introduces you to the local community and their customs.
Day 5: Chitwan Jungle Safari Activities
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a jungle safari in Chitwan National Park. Experience a thrilling jeep safari where you may spot various wildlife, including rhinos, deer, monkeys, and if you're lucky, the elusive Bengal tiger. After the safari, enjoy a canoe ride along the Rapti River, where you can observe crocodiles and various bird species. The serene environment allows for excellent wildlife photography. Day 6: Bird Watching and Return to Kathmandu
