You will learn about the birth of Johannesburg.
The Old jail, once regarded as a notorious jail is now the home to the Constitutional court of the country.
Soweto is a historical township.
From the pick up point, our first stop will be the Old jail and also have an option to visit the constitutional court of the country. You will learn and have a clear picture on how people were treated differently according to their colour and race in this jail. The jail was divided into separate sections, one for the whites and the other one for the Blacks. We will also drive through Braamfontein and over the Nelson Mandela Bridge to see a bit of downtown. Along the way, you will see the big piles of sand from the gold mines.
Our next stop will be Soweto. This is a historical township. It was the home to a number of activists during the times of apartheid. Here you will learn about the culture, heritage, history and local food.
