First Stop: Cu Chi Tunnels
We’ll begin our adventure at the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network built by Vietnamese fighters during their struggle for independence. This remarkable underground city took about 25 years to construct and includes living quarters, kitchens, hospitals, weapon factories, storage facilities, and a command center. The tunnel system provided the Vietcong with a stealthy means of moving through the countryside, sheltering around 10,000 people who lived underground for several years.

Before descending into the tunnels, we’ll watch a short introductory video detailing their construction. Following this, you’ll have an hour to explore the intricate maze of tunnels, as well as view various mantraps, the remains of an American tank, and numerous bomb craters created by 500-pound bombs dropped by B-52 bombers.

After our exploration, we’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to Saigon, arriving around 2:00 PM.

Next Stop: Notre Dame Cathedral
Located in the heart of the city, the Notre Dame Cathedral was constructed by the French in the late 1870s. Not only is it the oldest Christian church in Vietnam, but it also showcases unique and exquisite architecture that defines Saigon.

Third Stop: General Post Office
Designed by Gustav Eiffel, this grand post office serves as a testament to the French influence in the late 1800s. Its elegant design evokes the atmosphere of a beautiful railway station.

Fourth Stop: Jade Emperor Temple
You’ll then be driven to the Jade Emperor Temple, one of Vietnam's finest Taoist temples. Here, you’ll find stunning effigies, intricately carved panels depicting the descent into Hell, and somewhat surprising terrapin and tortoise sanctuaries. You may choose to visit either the Jade Emperor Temple, the War Museum, or the Reunification Palace.

Final Stop: Ben Thanh Market
Lastly, you’ll have approximately two hours to explore Ben Thanh Market, one of the liveliest areas of Saigon, bustling with an array of products. We will also visit a lacquer workshop to witness the complex processes and meticulous craftsmanship involved in this traditional Vietnamese craft.
