Uganda: 3-Day Gorilla Experience from Entebbe

Embark on a journey to the jungle in Bwindi forest for a close encounter with the mountain gorillas. Enjoy a cultural performance before starting the hike to the gorillas in the forest.
You embark on a safari in Murchison Falls Park. You see rhinos in Ziwa Sanctuary, walk in the Forest, go on game drives and boat cruise on the Nile. Then, enjoy a 3 day gorilla tour in Bwindi National Park.

Day 1: Entebbe
On arrival, transfer to the hotel for an overnight. Overnight at Boma Hotel Entebbe.

Day 2: Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, we drive to the rhinos. We have a bush walk to the rhinos. The sanctuary is a large tract of land for the protection of the rhinos. It is the only place in Uganda to have rhinos. Overnight at Amuka Lodge.

Day 3: Budongo Forest-Murchison Falls
We move to Budongo for the forest walk. Here, you see several mammals including the chimpanzees. Lunch is at the eco-lodge. We continue through the park up to river Nile. Relax with nice views of the river and the park. You can have a game drive as the sun sets. Overnight at Pakuba Lodge.

Day 4: Game Drives and Boat Cruise
We start early the game drive in the park. The drive goes to the delta where the Nile meets Lake Albert. Animals here include the lions, elephants and giraffes among others. In the afternoon as the sun sets, get on the boat cruise that sails upstream of the Nile to the bottom of the falls. On the shores of the River, see birds and many animals that come for a drink including permanent residents like hippos, crocodiles and lizards. The animals enjoy the river. The cruise offers scenic opportunities for photographing the animals. Overnight at Pakuba Lodge.

Day 5: Return to Entebbe
At the end of the Murchison Falls safari adventure, have breakfast and drive south to Entebbe airport. The drive takes about 6 hours reaching the airport in the afternoon.

Start on a 3-day gorilla tour in Bwindi Impenetrable Park. Cross the Equator and drive through the cattle countryside. This landscape turns into mountains and terraced hill sides. Wind up at the lodge with stunning views of Bwindi Gorilla forest. Bwindi forest is one of the oldest ecosystems in the world. The forest is not only a home to the Gorillas but the chimpanzees too. Accommodation is at the Rushaga Gorilla Camp.

Day 2: Gorilla Experience in Bwindi Forest
This morning, take the short drive to the park. Before the trekking, enjoy a cultural dance. Begin the hike to the Gorillas on the trails in the forest. The forest undergrowth is full of life from primates to elephants and birds. Follow the marks left by the Gorillas so as to find them. The best moment is meeting the Gorillas on the ground. These animals live in a family of up to 15 members headed by the Gorilla silverback. They feed, play, and sometimes fight. Spend an hour with the Gorillas in their daily life. They can even come close to you. In the afternoon, stay at the lodge or take a village tour. Accommodation is at the Rushaga Gorilla Camp.

Day 3: End of the 3-Day Uganda Gorilla Safari
This day, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe.
