7-Day Gorilla trekking & Wildlife Safari - Rwanda & Uganda

Embark on a 7-day safari through Rwanda and Uganda. Trek to see mountain gorillas, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, and see the tree-climbing lions of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe for a canopy walk
Be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Kigali and embark on the journey to Nyungwe for a canopy walk that is suspended above a ravine in the lush montane rainforest of Nyungwe forest. It provides you with an exhilarating perspective on the ancient treetops and wildlife with countless butterflies, orchids, & colorful birds.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking & visit to waterfalls
After breakfast at the lodge, prepare for a long day of activities. Go to the briefing at Uwinka. After the briefing, embark on the trek for chimps.
During chimpanzee tracking, expect to spot 12 smaller species of primate & colorful bird species.
After lunch, be taken for a nature walk to visit the waterfalls. Nyungwe Park has over 14 trials for nature walks that will allow you to experience the flora and fauna in the park.

Day 3: Lake Kivu relaxation tour for hiking, boat trip & kayaking
Take a motorboat on Lake Kivu to soak up the beautiful scenery that surrounds the lake. The motorboat will take you to Cyimbili for a coffee tour. Experience the entire process of harvesting roasting, grinding, and preparing the best coffee in Rwanda.
Later, take a swim in the warm & tranquil waters. Explore Lake Kivu on a serene kayaking journey along the shores of the lake. Paddle a modern sea kayak or sit on top to dip into inlets and across bays as you soak up the spectacular scenery, meet the fishermen, see local fish farms, and optionally visit the hot springs.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi.
After a cup of coffee at 7:00 AM, meet the driver guide and drive to Bwindi in Uganda, crossing the Cyanika Border. The drive takes you through stunning landscapes of the Virunga ranges, hospitable local communities, local markets, and multiple stopovers for picnics.

Day 5: Mountain gorilla trekking & Lake Bunyonyi relaxation
After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular. The area offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.
The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long-savored. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi which is framed by lush, green-terraced hills but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP for game viewing
Check out of the lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth NP for a two-hour launch trip on the Kazinga Channel. Be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, elephants, crocodiles, etc.
In the afternoon, proceed for a game drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions.

Day 7: Transfer to Kampala
In the morning, drive to Kampala with a stop over to Kayabwe for the Equator experience & later proceed to Entebbe.
