Up next, you’ll head to Cavusin, one of the oldest Greek settlements in Cappadocia. Stop by St. John the Baptist Church – one of the oldest, largest, and most prestigious cave churches in the area – before heading to Pasabag Valley and Devrent Valley.
Both valleys are home to incredible landscapes. While Pasabag is known for its fairy chimneys, Devrent is known for its whimsical, almost animal-looking rock formations. Use your imagination as you walk around the valley and explore the lunar-esque landscape.
Next up is one of the most iconic landmarks in Cappadocia, the Three Beauties. Also known as the Three Graces, these three fairy chimneys are said to symbolize a father, mother, and child. Stop for a delicious lunch to rest and refuel before heading to the next stop.
The Kaymakli Underground City is a large subterranean city carved out of volcanic rock. The series of narrow passageways showcase rooms and living spaces, kitchens, churches, store rooms, barns, and more.
After traversing the underground city, head back outdoors to Pigeon Valley and Uchisar Castle. Both feature commanding views of Cappadocia and are the perfect spots to snap some amazing photos as memorabilia.
