Some of the highlights include Carthage, center of a once vast empire, the Roman cities of Dougga and El jem, with their extensive and well-preserved ruins, Kairouan, the first Maghreb capital, the desert oasis towns of Tozeur, Chebika and Tamerza, and Berber villages like Matmata, with their troglodyte dwellings.

7-DAY ITINERARY



Day 1- Carthage: the Roman Baths, Roman Villas and Byrsa Hill, Sidi Bou Said, and the Medina, Tunis’ old town. Overnight in Tunis.

Day 2 - Dougga, Zaghouan, overnight in Hammamet.

Day 3 - Kairouan: The Great Mosque, the Mausoleum of the Barber and the Aglabid Basins. Overnight in Tozeur.

Day 4 - The Atlas Mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza, and Mides. The salt flats of Chott el Jerid and the Berber troglodyte dwellings in Matmata. Overnight in Matmata.

Day 5 – Tataouine, Chenini, Ksar Haddada and Ksar Medenine. Overnight in Gabes.

Day 6 - The Roman Amphitheater of El Jem. Overnight in Sousse.

Day 7 - Sousse Medina and Monastir. Return to the hotel or transfer to the airport.
