Tataouine has the distinction of having inspired the name of the planet Tatooine in George Lucas' Star Wars saga.

This southern Tunisian town has become emblematic for Star Wars fans, as it's where many of the films were shot, notably in the Tataouine region, the Tozeur region and on the island of Djerba.
The main filming sites you can visit on this tour are:

Pick-up at 6:30 a.m. in front of your accommodation and departure for Médenine (Djerba > Médenine, 90 km - 1h30 drive).
Visit to Médenine's Ksar Ommarsia, (Star Wars - Episode 1).
Coffee break in Médenine.
Visit to Matmata and the Sidi Idriss hotel (Star Wars, Lars farm). (Médenine > Matmata 65 km, 1h10 drive).
Departure to visit Ksar Hadada, the slave quarter mos Espa episode 1. (Matmata > Ksar Hadada, 95 km, 2h drive).
Lunch in a restaurant.
Guided tour of the perched village of Chenini (40mn). (Ksar Hadada > Chenini, 25 km, 0h25 drive).
Visit to Ksar Ouled Soltane, the slave quarter of Mos Espa episode 1 (Chenini > Ksar Ouled Soltane, 40 km, 0h40 journey).
Return and drop-off around 5:30pm in front of your accommodation. (Ksar Ouled Soltane > Djerba, 150 km, 2h drive).

The excursion is by 4X4 or microbus, depending on the number of participants.
Our vehicles can be equipped with baby seats on request.
This tour is not open to people with reduced mobility.
