Start the journey from Koggala/ Weligama/ Mirissa/ Matara. Embark on a thrilling safari by entering into YALA & encounter leopards, elephants, and more in the wilderness. Drop off in the Ella area.
After starting the journey with you from Koggala/ Ahangama/ Weligama/ Mirissa/ Matara/ Dondra/ Talalle area, we are aiming to be in the YALA National Park at dawn or dusk. These are two of the best times of the day, which gives you the highest chance of spotting the elusive Sri Lankan leopards, which is a leopard subspecies native to Sri Lanka. YALA boasts approximately a hundred individual leopards which recognizes as the highest leopard density in the world.

What happens on a typical day on safari?

A. Pick-up time at 3.30 a.m. - All the available Pick up times - (Morning Safari - 3.30 a.m./ 4.00 a.m./ 4.30 a.m./ 5.00 a.m./ 5.30 a.m./ 6.00 a.m./ Afternoon Safari - 11.00 a.m./ 11.30 a.m.) - Earliest time in the Morning Safari is the most recommended.
Please adjust the times of the itinerary according to the Pick up time you select

B. Get down from the transfer vehicle (Air-conditioned Car/ minivan) and get into the 4X4 Toyota Hilux safari vehicle - at Tissamaharama around 5.30 a.m.
For the Afternoon Safari you will be given 1 hour to have lunch
(We will provide you lunch with Sri Lankan foods)

C. 2 hours wildlife safari/ 1st game drive (Starting at 6.00 a.m.)

D. Break at Patanangala Beach in YALA National Park - 20-30 minutes, which gives you time to enjoy your picnic breakfast
(We will provide you breakfast with Sri Lankan foods)

E. 1 hour wildlife safari/ 2nd game drive (Ending at around 9.30 a.m.)

F. Get down from the 4X4 Toyota Hilux vehicle and get into the transfer vehicle (Air-conditioned Car/ minivan) - at Tissamaharama at around 10.00 a.m.

G. Optional - If you prefer, we can take a 20-minutes break Near Rawana-Ella waterfall, on the way to Ella (Free of charge)

H. Drop-off in Ella/ Bandarawela area at around 12.00 p.m.

Your safety and comfort is our top priority, so we use only the rugged Toyota Hilux 4x4 vehicles for the safari, specially equipped to navigate the YALA National Park's diverse off-road conditions easily.

Marvel at the sight of majestic elephants, graceful spotted deer, and elusive sloth bears, among a plethora of other mesmerizing species. Your knowledgeable driver cum guide will regale you with insights into the behaviours and habitats of YALA's diverse wildlife.

After many hours of exhilarating exploration, return to your hotel as a person filled with memories of a lifetime and has a newfound appreciation for the wonders of one of the best spots in Sri Lanka's majestic wilderness.
