There are a lot of things to do on this 2-day tour. You can take the hill country blue train from Ella to Nuwara Eliya, go on a wildlife safari in Yala National Park, go on a guided rainforest walk in Sinharaja, visit a tea plantation, see a waterfall, stay at a hill country resort in Ella, see beautiful tea plantations, and visit a tea factory in Nuwara Eliya.

The tour goes through Sri Lanka's most beautiful hill country, scenic farmland on the south coast, and a wildlife park on the south coast. You will also get to see Pidurutalagala, the country's highest peak, and the lovely city of Nuwara Eliya. Start your trip on the west side and go to the city that is 2800 meters above sea level and is the highest point in Sri Lanka.

Day 1: Colombo-Sinharaja-Yala
The first activity of the trip is the exploration of the pristine forest cover of the Sinharaja rainforest. Your hotel on the west coast is where the two-day tour starts. You will go through the beautiful scenery of Sri Lanka's low country. You could get to the Sinharaja jungle in about two hours. During the jungle trek, our nature guide will later show you interesting trees, plants, veins, birds, waterfalls, and other animals that live in the forest. The bush walk takes three to four hours.

Later, drive to Yala National Park. You will need to go deeper into the island after the jungle trekking. Your tour through Yala National Park lasts for 4 hours and lets you see a lot of interesting animals, like leopards, elephants, bears, crocodiles, jackals, monitors, mungoes, wild buffaloes, deer, birds, and more.

Later check-in to the nearby hotel and take some time to relax.


Day 2: Yala-Ella-Nuwara-Eliya-Colombo
Start your trip early in the morning with the transfer to Ella railway station. Then, get on the hill country train going to Colombo and get off at Nuwara Eliya railway station. Your train trip lasts about two hours and thirty minutes and touches on the most scenic part of the train journey from Badulla to Colombo. The trip takes you through some of the most beautiful parts of the hill country blue train journey. You will see a tea plantation, forest patches, vegetable plots, green-capped mountains, and small towns that are off the beaten path. Once you get to the Nanu Oya train stop, your guide will pick you up.

After that, take a drive to Nuwara Eliya to see a beautiful tea farm and factory. On the way, stop at Gregory Lake Esplanade.
After the tea plantation tour, which lasts about an hour, you go to your hotel on the west coast.
