5 Days for Gorillas, Chimps, Monkeys and the big 5 in Rwanda

Experience the wildlife like never before, The endangered primates, mountain gorillas, the big five, and big cats in the country of beautiful Thousand Hills, and rich culture, Rwanda.
This tour takes you to Rwanda's magnificent mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, a variety of monkey species, the savannah park of the Big 5, birds, and other wildlife.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Nyungwe National Park.

Your driver guide will pick you up at the airport/accommodation and take you to the Nyungwe National Park. It is a 4: 30 min road trip.
Depending on the time you arrive at the park, you will have the option to do some park activities including:
1. Canopy walk: Suspended high above the ground, you'll get a bird's-eye view of the ancient rainforest.
2. Waterfall,
check-in at the resort, go for dinner, and enjoy the overnight at the Nyungwe rainforest resort.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking

Rise early for an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure. These intelligent primates share 98.7% of our DNA, so observing their behavior is a fascinating experience.
The driver guide will take you to the park reception at 5 AM, for a short briefing before the track.
You might spend 30 min to hours tracking the chimpanzee, once you meet your group, you will spend one hour with the chimps. Observe their behavior, and playful nature and learn how they live in their natural habitat. Our guide will tell you some fascinating facts about these incredible primates.

In the afternoon, transfer to Akagera National Park, a savanna reserve known for its diverse wildlife.
Sunset boat ride at Ihema Lake for the hippos, crocodiles, elephants, birds, and other aquatic mammals.
Relax at the safari resort and enjoy the spectacular park views.

Day 3: Akagera National Park game drive

Embark on an early morning game drive in Akagera National Park. With a bit of luck, you'll spot some of Africa's most iconic animals, including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards (collectively known as the Big 5).
Keep an eye out for zebras, giraffes, gazelles, and a variety of bird species.
In the afternoon, relax at the picnic area and enjoy your lunch and the scenic views of the park.
Later, transferred back to Kigali.
Spend overnight at Kigali

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Today is the highlight of your trip: a gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park. Home to a population of endangered mountain gorillas, this park offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
The trek can last anywhere from an hour to a full day, depending on where the gorillas are located. Spending an hour with these magnificent creatures is an unforgettable experience.

Day 5: Golden monkey tracking

On your last day, go on a golden monkey trek in Volcanoes National Park. These playful primates with their striking golden fur are another highlight of Rwanda's wildlife.
After the trek, enjoy a relaxed morning at your lodge before transferring to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
