Start your day with a tour of the island by vehicle. Depart from Velas and stop at viewpoints to admire the unique beauty of the town. Continue to Urzelina, where you will visit the tower of a church, spared by the volcanic eruption of 1808.

Next, stop in Manadas to visit one of the oldest churches on the island, the church of Santa Bárbara. Continue to the neighboring municipality to the Miradouro da Calheta before crossing to the north side of the island. On this side of the island, in the north, there are plenty of Fajãs. Make a mandatory stop at the Fajã dos Cubres Viewpoint and the Fajã do Ouvidor Viewpoint.

Return via Beira, visiting the Cheese Factory, where you can taste the São Jorge Cheese, unique, but with different maturations (3, 7, 12, 24, and 36 months). With a small detour, pass by the Miradouro da Fajã de João Dias and the Parque Florestal das 7 Fontes before heading to Velas.

After lunch, take a boat trip along the coast of the island. See the Urzelina Caves or the remains of the English ship Irisky, which sank during World War II.
