The walk takes you through the heart of Lagos' historic center, where you’ll wander through charming pedestrian streets, passing by Gil Eanes Square with its iconic Don Sebastião statue by João Cutileiro. As you explore the picturesque alleys, you'll discover delightful local shops, cafés, and restaurants.
Your journey then leads you to the open space of Praça Infante Dom Henrique, where you can admire the Infante statue, visit the Slave Route Museum Centre, and explore historical gems like the Royal Warehouse, Santa Maria Church, Alcácer-Quibir Triptych, and Santo António Church.
From there, continue your tour through the Governors' Castle and exit the old town via Saint Gonçalo's Arch. Head towards the sea to visit Praia da Batata and the Fort of Ponta da Bandeira's Museological Nucleus. Finally, enjoy a scenic 600-meter walk along the Avenida dos Descobrimentos seafront promenade, bringing you back to where your walking tour began.
