DAY 01:
We will begin the day with pickup from your hotel and head by vehicle through picturesque Andean roads, passing through charming hamlets and villages until we reach Ajanaco, the entrance to the jungle at 3,500 meters above sea level. We will descend along winding paths towards the cloud forest, surrounded by exuberant vegetation such as orchids, heliconias and ferns. Along the way, we'll keep an eye out for the region's vibrant wildlife, such as the cock-of-the-rock, umbrella bird, trogon, quetzal, and oriole. At the end of the day, we will arrive at our lodge where you can relax and unwind after an exciting day of exploring.

DAY 02:
After breakfast, we will take a short walk to observe a wide variety of birds and monkeys in their natural habitat. Then we will go by bus for an hour to the port of Atalaya, from where we will take a boat for 30 minutes to our hostel. Along the way, we will have the option of enjoying a refreshing dip in the river or a rejuvenating mud bath. After lunch, we will explore the fascinating Machuwasi lagoon on a raft, where we can spot shanshos, monkeys, reptiles, dwarf caimans, capybaras, tapirs and other impressive creatures. In the evening, we will venture out on an exciting night hike to discover more of the region's natural wonders, before spending the night in our comfortable lodge surrounded by Amazonian beauty.

DAY 03:
At dawn, we will head to the parrot clay lick to witness the spectacle of these colorful birds feeding on the rich wall of nutrients. After a delicious breakfast, we will return by boat to Atalaya and then begin the return trip to Cusco. During the journey, we will enjoy enchanting views such as hummingbirds, orchids, waterfalls and possibly spot other species of birds or monkeys. As we leave the lush jungle behind, we will cross the impressive Andean peaks until we finally reach Cusco.
