Puerto Maldonado: Sandoval Lake Full-Day Trip with Canoeing

Arrive at the reserve and enjoy a 30-minute walk through the luscious landscape until you reach Sandoval Lake. Keep a look out for the abundance of animals and birds that call Sandoval their home, and in particular the lake's giant otters. 

Enjoy a quick stop for lunch and some rest time, then hop back in your canoe as you go in search of black caimans and yet more fascinating wildlife. Admire a stunning sunset in the late afternoon, then slowly begin the journey back through the jungle and towards the riverboat waiting to return you to Puerto Maldonado.
