Immerse yourself in this incredible excursion and learn how the Misminay community lives, where you will discover their way of life and their millenary traditions.
We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 to begin our excursion to the northwest of Cusco. We will head to the archaeological site of Moray where we will tour the huge terraces used by the Incas as a botanical laboratory. We will leave Moray and cross the impressive landscapes of the district of Maras and we will enter the more rural Peru, our destination the community of Misminay. Upon arrival a local guide will tell us the history and origins of this community, whose way of life is based on agricultural and textile tasks. On our tour we will learn about some of the customs of the community, among these we will appreciate the preparation of the traditional uchucuta, a cream of rocoto and herbs, and you will learn more about the community in its Interpretation Centre, you can tour the place or buy some local products made by the Misminay. Finally we will travel to Ollantaytambo to visit the archaeological complex, explore the site and visit the local market. Finally we will return to Cusco city arriving approximately at 16:00 hours.
