From Cusco: Ausangate Trek 5 Days 4 Nights

Ausangate is an imposing snow-capped peak known for its extraordinary beauty. Dare to travel for 5 days through its beautiful landscapes and magical towns.
DAY 1: Cusco – Ocongate – Tinke Community – UpisOur adventure to the Nevado Ausangate begins with the pick up at your respective hotel at 5:00 a.m., once located in our mobility we will leave the city of Cusco - Ocongate (Tinke) to our first camp located in Upis Huarmisaya. After 3 hours of travel we will be arriving at the town of Tinke, we begin our walk towards Upis (4,400 masl), for approximately 3 to 5 hours, here we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will be touring the Huayna Ausangate lagoon.
DAY 2: Upis – Arapa Pass – Yanacocha – Pukacocha LagoonIn the morning we will enjoy our delicious breakfast and then we will continue with the walk ascending for approximately two hours until we reach the Arapa pass (4,850 m.s.n.m.)Then we will descend until we find the appropriate place to have lunch, then we will continue walking along a route where we will be able to appreciate wild animals, herds of llamas and alpacas until we reach the Yanacocha lagoon that is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and incredible landscapes.After an hour we will be arriving at the Hatun Pukacocha lagoon.
DAY 3: Pukacocha Lagoon – Ausangateqocha – Abra Palomani – Huchuy PhinayaThis day we will start the trek earlier, ascending for about two hours towards the third pass, the Ausangate pass. On this day we will visit the Ausangateqocha lagoon and pass through the Palomani pass. We will continue with our descent towards the Palomani pass which is located at 5,200 meters above sea level, this is the highest point of our entire journey, then we will descend for another two hours towards the community of Huchuy Phinaya, then we will head towards Sorapata.
DAY 4: Jampa Pass – PacchantaWe will start with the walk for approximately two hours until we reach the Jampa pass. Then we will descend for approximately 5 hours to the Qomercocha, Orco Otorongo, Alqa Qocha, Azul Qocha Lagoons, among others; a traditional one-day route that is carried out from the city of Cusco, then we will be arriving at the community of Pacchanta.
DAY 5: Pacchanta – Tinke Community – Ocongate – CuscoIn the morning we will have breakfast and the option to enjoy the thermal baths.Then we will descend from Pacchanta towards the town of Tinke, we will hike for approximately two hours. In Tinke our transport will be waiting for our arrival to return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:30 p.m.
