Arequipa: Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca-Lojen Volcano

Arequipa is known for conserving a natural area which is the national reserve of Salinas y Aguada Blanca.
06:00 a.m. to 6.40 a.m. – We start picking up from hotels in the city center
Our first visit will be at the Mirador de los Volcanes in the district of Chiguata; which we´ll arrive in an average of 45 minutes, from there we can observe our representative volcanoes and we can take pictures. Later we´ll be arriving at the town of Chiguata and visit the main square of Chiguata where its traditional Holy Spirit Church is located and later we´ll taste a breakfast of the area.
Then we´ll continue our way and in a journey of 01 hour approx. we´ll make a stop at the Alto Simbral (4200 m.a.s.l.) where we can observe plants of the area such as Queñua, Yareta, Tola, etc.
10:0 a.m. approx, continuing our journey we´ll arrive at the Laguna de Salinas where we´ll stay between 01 hour to 01 hour and 30 minutes making different stops for the observation of flamingos, parihuanas, water mirrors (from January to April), sighting of vicuñas, llamas and alpacas (all year). In the dry season (May to December) we´ll visit the salt extraction centers where imagination is essential to take spectacular photographs.
Then we´ll go to the Mini Volcano Lojen and Hot Springs of Lojen to enjoy a relaxing bath.
02:00pm approx, We´ll return to Chiguata for lunch and then start our way back to the city of Arequipa.
05:00pm approx, Arrival to the city and we´ll leave you near the Plaza de Armas.
