Arequipa: Colca Valley and Condor Viewpoint 2 Days/1 Night

This trip to the Colca Valley will allow you to appreciate the unique view of the canyon and the Andean condors of the area; you will also be able to appreciate the different volcanoes.

The Colca Valley is located in the northeastern end of the department of Arequipa, in the province of Caylloma; it is an Andean territory that has a natural and cultural heritage, with impressive landscapes, such as the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, artistically elaborated terraces with its rivers, mountains and ravines, diversity of flora and fauna, different attractions to know.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arequipa - Chivay.
- This tour starts with the pick up from your accommodation in the city of Arequipa to go to the Colca Valley.
- During our trip we will pass through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca to make a stop at the viewpoint of Patapampa.
- Then we will arrive at the traditional village of Chivay.
- In the afternoon we will visit the thermal baths of Calera to enjoy its medicinal properties.
- We will return to the village of Chivay to spend an evening tasting local flavors and witnessing typical dances.

Day 2: Chivay - Maca - Yanque - Arequipa
- We start the day having breakfast at the hotel and continue the tour.
- We will arrive at the viewpoint of the Cruz del Condor to observe the flight of the condors.
- We will observe the crater of the Colca Canyon, then we will return to Chivay making the following stops: Maca village with villagers who will show us their traditions.
- After the village of Yanque, we will return to Chivay to have lunch and say goodbye and return to Arequipa, ending our tour.
