ITINERARY:
- DAY 1:
• We will meet at the meeting point at approximately 7:30 am. -After reviewing the details with the guide, we will begin our hike to the base point of the Chachani volcano (5,000 m.a.s.l.).
• We will hike for approximately 2 hours until we reach our campsite at over 5,200 m.a.s.l. This day includes a meal, so it is advisable to bring snacks for the road.
• Once settled in camp, we will explore the area on foot.
- DAY 2:
• We will rise very early, around midnight, to have breakfast and begin the ascent of the volcano at a leisurely pace.
• We will reach the summit at an altitude of 6,075 m, from where we will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.
• Then, we will return to the camp to prepare our belongings and return to our transportation.
• The return to the city of Arequipa is scheduled for approximately 3:00 pm.
