Arequipa:2-day tour of the Colca Canyon

Spend 2 days in the Colca Canyon with this tour from Arequipa. You will get to know Chivay, its hot springs and the most famous viewpoints in the area. Essential!
Day 1: Arequipa – Chivay
At 8:00 a.m. we will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa and head north towards Chivay. During the trip, we will make a brief stop at the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we will meet the vicuñas in their natural environment. It is a wonder!

We will also see the lagoons and wetlands of Tocrapampa and we will make a stop at the Mirador de los Andes, in Patapampa, to observe the beautiful views of the mountain range.

Finally, we will arrive in Chivay and you will have an hour and a half of free time to eat on your own at a restaurant in the area. After settling in at the hotel, we will move to the Calera thermal baths, where you can relax in an unforgettable place. Did you know that these waters have medicinal properties?

You will have the night free to spend in Chivay as you wish. For example, you can enjoy a dinner accompanied by a folklore show on your own.

We will end the day by dropping you off at the hotel in Chivay at 5:00 p.m.

Day 2: Chivay – Colca Canyon – Arequipa
After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the Colca Canyon. Upon arriving at this beautiful natural area, we will be greeted by the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, a perfect place to take thousands of photographs and admire the nature of one of the deepest gorges in the world.

Will we be lucky and be able to see the condors fly? I hope so, it's quite a spectacle!

We will not leave the valley without visiting the viewpoints of Wayrapunko, Antahuilque and Choquetico, magical places where we can admire different aspects of pre-Inca cultures. Afterwards we will stop in the towns of Maca and Yanque, where we will make stops to rest.

We will meet again and return to Chivay, where we will have lunch and then leave for Arequipa. After approximately three hours of travel, we will arrive at your hotel and end the excursion at 5:00 p.m.

Accommodation
The tour includes one night's accommodation in a hostel in Chivay in a double room.



Pickup
Pickup is included from hotels located within a 1 kilometer radius of Arequipa's Plaza de Armas. If your hotel is outside this area you would have to go at the indicated time to the meeting point located in the Plaza de Armas.
