2 Days | Colca Canyon | Arequipa

Let yourself be impressed by the flight of the condors and the beautiful traditions of its neighboring villages.
- DAY 01:
07:30am to 08:00am - Pick up from hotels in downtown Arequipa.
08:00am - We start our trip to one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Our point of operations will be the town of Chivay, which we will reach in approximately 4 hours, counting all the tourist stops. As a first point, we will pass through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where we will be able to appreciate the vicuñas that live in this area. Then, very close, we will visit Patahuasi to drink the traditional coca tea, a traditional drink that is essential for altitude sickness (mountain sickness). We will also make a short stop at the Bofedales de Toccra, where we will observe a large number of Alpacas grazing freely in the area. Mandatory stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of the road that reaches 4,800 meters above sea level, from where we will appreciate much of the western mountain range, from this point it would only take 40 minutes to reach the town of Chivay.
12:30pm - We will arrive in Chivay to enjoy a delicious lunch (to be paid for by the client). After lunch we will settle into our respective hotels. In the afternoon we can enjoy a relaxing bath in the hot springs (optional entrance fee paid by the client) whose thermo-medicinal waters range between 35º C and 38º C temperature in the pools.
For dinner (to be paid by the client) we can enjoy a folkloric show with typical dances of the area.
Overnight in Chivay.
- DAY 02:
Breakfast. After breakfast we will move to the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, which is 30 minutes away, is the observation point of the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the Condor. At this point we will spend an average of 45 minutes to observe the beauty of the Colca Canyon.
On the way back we will stop at the viewpoints of the area from where we will observe the impressive Andenería of the Valley and in the village of Maca, where we will see its church and optionally taste local drinks like the Colca Sour, made with local products. area.
12:00pm - Lunch in Chivay (to be paid by the client).
01:00pm - We will return to the city of Arequipa. If the first day of the trip we did not know any point on the way to Chivay, on the way back we can make a stop to get to know all the tourist stops, depending on the time and the group.
05:00pm - We will arrive in the city of Arequipa, and we will drop you off near the main square.
