Tour Puerto Maldonado

During the 3 day tour in Puerto Maldonado we will enjoy the Peruvian jungle in one of the best lodges in the area.
DAY 1
Puerto Maldonado - Lodge - Trekking

At 11:00 AM, you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to the pier at Puerto Bolivar. From there, you will take a 40-minute boat ride on the Madre de Dios River to reach your lodge. After lunch, you will have some time to rest before embarking on your first excursion into the Peruvian jungle. Your guide will lead you on a trek to explore the area, pointing out different tropical trees and medicinal plants. You will visit a chestnut camp where Brazil nuts are cultivated and a shiringuero camp to see the artisanal process of latex collection. After a two-hour walk, you will return to the lodge to rest.

In the evening, before dinner, you will take a boat ride to see caimans and other animals living in the river.

DAY 2
Sandoval Lake - Tambopata National Reserve

The day begins early at 5:30 AM with a coffee before heading to Sandoval Lake in a boat for a 20-minute ride. Upon arrival, you will trek 3 km into the jungle, entering the Tambopata National Reserve. Here, you will see monkeys, birds, giant trees, and other inhabitants of the area. After the hike, you will return to the lodge for lunch and some rest.

In the afternoon, you will visit one of the observation towers to see birds and enjoy views of the sunset in the jungle. You will have free time to enjoy the facilities of the lodge.

DAY 3
Parrot Clay Lick

You will wake up early at 5:30 AM and take a 20-minute walk to the Parrot Clay Lick, where you will observe 3 to 5 different species of parrots flying around you. After this observation, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and some free time in the jungle. Then, you will sail back to the city and be taken to a traditional market before the end of the 3-day tour of Puerto Maldonado.
