Join us on an exciting excursion to the stunning Lake Yacumama, where you can marvel at one of the most spectacular sunsets you have ever witnessed and admire the local fauna in their natural habitat.
The adventure will begin at 3:30 p.m. from our meeting point. We will travel by motor vehicle for about 20 minutes by road until we reach the entry point. From there, we will take a short walk of about 7 minutes until we reach the shore of the lake, where a canoe will wait for us. We will navigate the serene waters of the lake, the former bed of the Madre de Dios River, now surrounded by lush vegetation and bordered by aguajale palm trees, home even to the majestic macaws that come to roost. We will have the opportunity to fish for piranhas, always respecting the natural balance by returning them to the water after the experience. Afterwards, we will delight in one of the most sublime sunsets, enjoying the panoramic views offered by the lush vegetation that surrounds the lake. Finally, we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado, arriving around 6:30 p.m.
