Take a trip through space inside the Planetarium (admission included). Feel the fluttering of countless wings in the Butterfly Pavilion. Admire the botanical garden and take a restful break at one of our vegetarian restaurants.

Enhance your visit by exploring ARTIS-Micropia, the worlds’ first microbe museum, and discover an invisible world in de center of Amsterdam. Learn about microbes in your own body through the body scan, and come to understand more about these highly successful and important life forms.

You can’t see them, but they’re here. They are on you. In you. And you’ve got more than a hundred thousand billion of them, microbes. Learn about the microbes in your mouth and their exchange during kissing at the Kiss-O-Meter. Discover the invisible world of microbes in ARTIS-Micropia.

Every day the lab technicians talk about the most exceptional microbes and answer all of your questions at the lab talks.

Please note: the time slot you select during booking applies only to your visit to ARTIS-Micropia. You can enter ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo during the opening hours on the day of your visit.
