Begin with a thrilling flight to Lukla, followed by a trek to Namche Bazaar, the mountain village of the Sherpa. Reach places like Dole and Machherma, the frequented hamlets nestled deep inside the serene remote location.

Take on the challenge to ascend Gokyo-Ri (Gokyo peak) and be rewarded by awe-inspiring views of several peaks in the Everest Region. On the return journey, trace your route back to Dole and Namche, and have a flight back to Kathmandu at the end of two weeks.

As you approach the lakes of Gokyo, see at once that these lakes are glacial in nature — formed directly from the snow coming down from several peaks in the region. The distinctive green look of the lakes cannot be missed particularly because of the presence of abundant concentration of oxygen at deeper levels.

When you look at the lake after a thrilling hike to Gokyo-Ri (5,357m), you will see a rare sight, testifying to the region's natural grandeur. The peak, being the vantage point that it is, is in fact unparalleled in the Everest region.

Further down the trek, return to Lukla via Namche Bazaar, but only after crossing the hamlets in Dole and Machhermo. This trip is also an opportunity to understand a bit of Sherpa culture and the tightly-knit unique community they're renowned for.
