Embark on a 7-day trek to Pikey Peak, a relatively short and off-the-beaten-path trek in the Lower Everest region, known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and other peaks. The trek offers a blend of beautiful landscapes, local Sherpa culture, and monasteries.

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap (2,930 m)

The journey takes you through scenic hill roads with views of rural villages and terraced fields. Dhap is the starting point of the trek.

Day 2: Trek from Dhap to Jhapre (2,820 m)

The trail offers views of Everest and other snow-capped peaks in the distance. You’ll pass through rhododendron forests and traditional Sherpa villages. Jhapre is a small village with a monastery, and it’s a great place to witness local culture.

Day 3: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Peak Base Camp (3,640 m)

A scenic walk through yak pastures and pine forests, with mountain views becoming more prominent. Reach Pikey Peak Base Camp, where you’ll spend the night in a basic tea house or camp.

Day 4: Hike to Pikey Peak (4,065 m) for Sunrise, Trek to Loding (2,515 m)

Early morning hike to Pikey Peak for a stunning sunrise view of the Himalayas, including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, and even Kanchenjunga. After soaking in the views, descend to Loding through alpine forests and small villages.

Day 5: Trek from Loading to Junbesi (2,700 m)

The trail descends through beautiful landscapes and lush forests. Junbesi is a charming Sherpa village, home to an ancient monastery offering an authentic cultural experience.

Day 6: Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu (2,469 m)

The trek continues along scenic paths, descending to Phaplu, a small village with an airstrip. You can explore local monasteries and villages in the area.

Day 7: Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu

You can drive (8-9 hours) back to Kathmandu.
