One day Champadevi hike (Kathmandu-Champadevi)

People normally go sightseeing only in Kathmandu, but there are many more beautiful places to visit around here, especially the underrated hiking spots. That's why Holyland Adventure presents an amazing hike to Chapadevi—a moment to find peace and converse with yourself.

Thamel-Hattiban(Departure-8:30AM): Hatiban is a small village situated in the southern part of the Kathmandu Valley. After breakfast, you will be going to Hattiban. The mode of transport depends on your budget and group size. You can choose from options such as a local bus, private car, jeep, or hiace.
The hiking adventure commences from Hatiban, where you'll find a trail leading into the forested hills from the village. Make sure to carry essentials such as water, snacks, and appropriate clothing.

Hattiban-Machegaun(5 hours of hiking): As you proceed on the trail, you'll pass through dense forests, encounter small streams, and occasionally come across open clearings. The path gradually ascends, and after approximately 5 hours of hiking (depending on your pace), you will reach the village of Machegaun.

Machegaun-Champadevi (1-2hrs of hike): From Machegaun, the trail continues uphill towards Champadevi. The path can be steep in some sections, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. The hike to Champadevi from Machegaun should take around 1-2 hours.
Once you reach the summit of Champadevi, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Kathmandu Valley, the Himalayan mountains to the north, and the lush hills all around. At the summit, there is a small temple dedicated to the goddess Champadevi, which is a significant religious site.
Champadevi summit and return: After spending some time at the summit and enjoying the views, you can begin your descent. The return journey to Hatiban will take a similar amount of time as the ascent.
