Day 1: Mombasa - Taita Hills Game Sanctuary
Depart from your beach hotel in Mombasa and travel to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Enjoy a game drive along the way. Upon arrival at Taita Hills Lodge, have lunch and relax for a while. Then, head out for a game drive in the sanctuary to search for lions and other wildlife until sunset.
Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at Salt Lick Lodge. This lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure. A complex of rondavels sit on stilts over a series of water holes. These two-story towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs connected by open-air-bridges, create an African fantasy of a medieval fortress.
The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind. The structure provides you with a panoramic view of the sanctuary, offering spectacular views of the landscape and wildlife.
Day 2: Taita Hills Game Sanctuary - Mombasa
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a half-day game drive. Around noon, depart for Mombasa, taking part in a game drive and lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Mombasa, be dropped off at your beach hotel.
