Visit the ACK art fair, explore exhibitions in Kyoto’s museums, enjoy ART NIGHT OUT in Shijo-Kawaramachi, and join a music event at Metro Kyoto from 9 PM to celebrate throughout the night.
Modern architecture by Yukio Otani Visit the venue of the contemporary art fair Art Collaboration Kyoto (ACK) at the Kyoto International Conference Centre, and view a special night exhibition in the Okazaki area, where many of Kyoto's museums are located.
In Hosomi Museum, where you will be guided by a curator through the exhibition The Beauty of Shunga― Hokusai and Utamaro: Exchange and Competition.
The tour continues to in the Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art's normally closed-to-the-public guest room, visitors will see Shota Yamauchi's special exhibition The Crystal World. The tour will then move to the Shijo-Kawaramachi area to view other galleries.
You will then be free to hop around and view the ART NIGHT OUT in Shijo-Kawaramachi. From 9pm, you may join a music event to celebrate ACK at Metro Kyoto, Japan's longest-established club, and enjoy the evening to the fullest.

Art Collaboration Kyoto (ACK) is an art fair held in Kyoto with collaboration at its core. One of the leading art fairs in Japan specializing in contemporary art, Art Collaboration Kyoto presents unique collaborations forged between Japanese and international galleries; government and private sectors; and fine arts and other cultural spheres in Kyoto. Hosted in the Kyoto International Conference Center, the fair consists of two sections: “Gallery Collaborations”, which pairs a local Japanese gallery with its international peer in a shared booth; and “Kyoto Meetings”, which features artists with distinct connections to Kyoto. Beyond the fair, special exhibitions and public programs are held in Kyoto City.
