YACHIYO INOUE
5th Grand Master of Kyomai Inoue Class
The eldest daughter of Yusetsu Katayama (9th generation Kuroemon Katayama, Living National Treasure), she studied under Aiko Inoue (Yachiyo Inoue IV, Living National Treasure). In 2000, she became Yachiyo Inoue V. A member of the Japan Art Academy and holder of important cultural designations, she received the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2018.
YASUKO INOUE
Master of Kyomai Inoue Class
Since 2015, she has been a traditional dance teacher at Yasaka Nyokoba Gakuen and is a member of the Japan Dance Association. She also lectures part-time at Kyoto University of Art and Design. "Kyomai Inoue" is active in Gion-Kobu, Kyoto's geisha and maiko district.
