Day 1
Be picked up from your accommodation in Yogyakarta at 9:00 AM and take the approximate 2-hour journey to New Selo Village, located on the northern side of the volcano. At afternoon, go through some preparations and start the climb. It will take approximately 3 hours to reach the Savanna peak, depending on your fitness level.

Once at the Savanna's peak, enjoy the breathtaking views of the sun setting. After watching the sunset, you will settle up your campsite for an overnight stay with the help of your guide. Enjoy some free time or take a rest and prepare for the sunrise hike on the next day.

Day 2
Rise early to get ready and hike up to the top of the mountain on a 1.5-hour hike for a truly unforgettable experience as you witness the magical sunrise views of Mount Merbabu, the most popular volcano in Central Java. Admire the views of the cities of Central Java Province in the Northern side, and the Merapi Volcano on the southern side.

After sunrise, trek back down to the Savanna peak, enjoy a light breakfast at the campsite, and continue your trek down to the starting point of the hiking basecamp. Once you've reached the basecamp parking lot, meet your friendly driver and travel back to your accommodation in Yogyakarta.
