Yogyakarta: 2-Days Temples, Volcano Sunrise & Cave Tour

Day 1
start your tour with pick up at 4am, and heading to the volcano, one of the most active volcano in Indonesia. Here you will ride a classic jeep. The first point is the Kali Adem bunker, the closest point that is allowed to see the volcano. If the sky is clear you will see smoke continuously coming out of the crater. After that, Heading to the small museum which has a collection of evidence of the damage caused when this volcano erupted.

Then we go to Borobudur, This temple was built on 8th century by King Samaratungga ruled in 782 to 812 AD, during the Syailendra Dynasty. The construction of the temple aims to glorify Mahayana Buddhism. Borobudur Temple was once abandoned. According to expert, the cause of the abandoned temple complex was the eruption of Mount Merapi in 1006. And In 1814, Borobudur Temple was re-discovered by the British Governor General, Sir Thomas Stanford Raffles.
After walking around the temple complex, we will return to the hotel, this first day tour will end at your hotel around 12pm.

Day 2
You will picked up at 7am from your hotel and heading to Jomblang cave. It is a vertical cave due to geological processes. Jomblang Cave is a vertical caving that requires special tools to get down and explore the cave. You will see a scene called 'The Light of Heaven'. Sunlight enters the cave and illuminates the flowstone. The beauty of the 'light of heaven' can only be enjoyed at certain times, the best time in Jomblang Cave is around 10am. Where, the sun shines right at the mouth of Jomblang Cave. To explore Jomblang Cave you will use the equipment for vertical caving that has been provided, and you will be guided by an experienced licensed cave guide.

Then, we are heading to Prambanan Temple. This Hindu temple have been built by the king of the Sanjaya dynasty, King Balitung Maha Sambu. The Prambanan Temple Complex has four cardinal directions. The main temple faces east. The temple complex itself consists of 3 Trimurti temples, namely the Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma temples. The temple follows the mandala pattern and the rising temple structure is characteristic of Hindu buildings.
In 1999, Prambanan Temple was designated as a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
At 4am, we will return to your hotel, this tour will finish around 5 pm.
