We will talk about myths and legends and visit the athletes' training grounds, the sacred site of Olympia with the imposing temple of Zeus that housed the chryselephantine statue of Zeus, and the temple of Hera where the Olympic flame is lit every four years to start the games. Afterwards, we will visit the Olympic stadium where both young and old could test our athletic endurance!

In the museum, we can admire artistic masterpieces and extraordinary artifacts, evidence of the creative genius of ancient Greece.

During the guided tour in the Archaeological Museum of Olympia, we will have the opportunity to observe the grand works of art and objects related to the Olympic Games and the sacred site of Olympia, including the fascinating pediments of the temple of Zeus, the tools of the sculptor Phidias who made the Chryselephantine statue of Zeus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, Praxiteles' Hermes, and Peonius' Nike. Each statue, each object, speaks of a past rich in culture and values that still inspire the world today. The guided tour lasts around two and a half hours. The meeting point is in front of the ticket office of the archaeological site, and the tour ends in front of the exit of the archaeological museum. You can choose the whole package, or just the guided tour at the Olympia archaeological site, which lasts an hour and a half.
