Witness the Demilitarized Zone, one of the most powerful symbols of the 20th century. Learn the history of the conflict as you tour the important sights, including seeing North Korean territory.
Start your tour at Imjingak, 7 km from the Military Demarcation Line, a park that is dedicated to remembering the war and the division of Korea. It was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification would be possible. The 3-storied Imjingak is surrounded by several monuments, the Unification Park, and a North Korea Center.
Next, try the new Paju Imjingak Peace Gondola. During the cable car ride, you will get a bird’s eye view of the DMZ and even get a glance at Imjin River and Camp Greaves, a site used for many war-themed TV shows and movies. The next stop is Mount Odu Unification Observatory, which allows visitors a view of North Korean territory.
On the way back to Seoul you’ll visit Seoul Battleship Park. 3 authentic warships are preserved in their original state and provide an extraordinary space for exhibitions and experiences, offering visitors another way to learn more about the war. Your tour ends with a drop-off at City Hall.
