2-Day Temple of Angkor, Kulen Mountain & Tonle Sap Tour Standard Option

Experience the sunrise at Angkor Wat on a guided two-day tour from Siem Reap with breakfast. Discover the jungle temple of Ta Prohm, Bayon, Kulen National Park and Tonle Sap on a sunset boat.
Day 1:
Discover Angkor Wat with an experienced tour guide and wake to the sunrise for a ride through the city center. Admire this beautiful temple and enjoy a picnic-style Cambodian breakfast. Then, visit the local market of Siem Reap, before exploring the traditional village of Phum Preah Dak. Depart at 4:40 am by private transport with an English-speaking tour guide to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat temple. Once there, explore the whole entire building of Angkor Wat temple, before taking a short break for breakfast in the village.

Try the taste authentic Cambodian breakfast like Khmer noodle soup with traditional desserts like palm cake and steam rice dumplings with palm sugar.

After that, visit the interesting local market in the countryside of Siem Reap and walk in between food stalls to look for the best Cambodian specialties, where you can try Cambodian dishes such as sticky rice, cakes, fruits, egg noodles, or even fried spiders and scorpion.

Then, find yourself at a traditional village of Phum Preah Dak, where you can see the classic Cambodian-syle house and watch the local people who make palm cake for a living.

Continue your tour with a local guide to explore the jungle temple of Ta Prohm and Ta Nei which has been left in its original state and is partly overgrown with trees and huge roots. Then go to visit Bayon Temple and the Victory gate of Angkor Thom, which has become a world-famous landmark.

Built by King Jayavarman VII, who was also a Mahayana Buddhist, Bayon is the only monastery that has survived to this day and was used as a place for worship, education, and administration. At the end of the tour, transfer back to Siem Reap City from Angkor Park.

Day 2:
You will be picked up from your hotel at between 8:00 am via a private A/C vehicle to Phnom Kulen National Park. This journey takes you through rural Cambodian villages, where you may observe locals going about their everyday lives and admire beautiful landscapes such as rice paddies and traditional dwellings. Stop at the most authentic village"Phum Preah Dak" where you can learn how the local people make palm cake and palm sugar.

Afterward, we continue to the hilltop of Phnom Kulen, and our knowledgeable local guide will take you to the most spectacular tourist attractions in the national park, including the largest and most beautiful waterfalls, the reclining Buddha sculpture, and the River of Thousand Linga, which was constructed in 802 AD. After all the crawling, we stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy Cambodian food.

After having a great lunch, then we'll go directly to the the Kampong Phluk, flooded & fishing village of Tonle Sap lake, located just 21 kilometers from Siem Reap town.

Once in the lake port, we'll take a local boat from the ferry to explore the famous floating villages of Kampong Phluk. There, you can see firsthand what everyday life is like for the many families who make their living primarily from fishing. Most families live on the lake shore in brightly colored houses on long poles, so the high water levels are not a problem during the rainy season.

Explore the flooded mangrove forest surrounding the area, which is home to a variety of species, including crab-eating macaques and 3,000 inhabitants. We will then take you to visit a Buddhist monastery built on an artificial island and enjoy seeing the sunset from a local boat on Tonle Sap Lake.
