Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
At the Uyuni Salt Flats, see salt processing and visit the Hotel de Sal. Travel to Fish Island and then head to Galaxy Cave to see ancestral burials and petrified cactus. Spend the night in a hostel dormitory.
Day 2 (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Head south to the Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkota, Honda and Ramadita lagoons to see the colors and tones nuanced by wind and time, as well as large numbers of flamingos. Take in one of the most beautiful sunsets on the planet. Spend the night at a hostel.
Day 3 (Breakfast, Lunch)
See the geysers at Sol de Mañana at dawn, and pools where the land seems to boil in an array of colors. Take a dip in Termas de Polques and enjoy breakfast outdoors. Return for lunch at Laguna Colorada, a nesting center for 3 species of flamingos.
